Our Favorite Moissy Moments of 2015

With 2015 drawing to a close, we thought we’d take a moment to count down our ten favorite moments from a fantastic year! Check out the best Moissy Moments of 2015 below!

10. JCK Las Vegas

The largest jewelry industry tradeshow in the US is always an amazing event, but 2015’s was particularly exciting. From May 29^th to June 2^nd, the Charles & Colvard team mixed and mingled with thousands of exhibitors from around the world, and got an inside look at upcoming trends, such as open concept rings, dramatic fashion jewelry, and textured metals. We can’t wait to attend again in 2016!

9. The Forever Us™ Collection

This collection of two-stone rings was one of our favorite new collections launched by Moissanite.com in 2015. For years, three stone rings have been all the rage, but now two-stone rings are starting to emerge as a major trend. Meant to symbolize the two partners in a relationship, two stone rings are a beautiful symbol of enduring love.

8. The Lulu Avenue Fall 2015 Catalog

According to Lulu Avenue® President Michelle Jones, the Fall 2015 collection was “our best and most unique lineup to date.”  We couldn’t have agreed more. Featuring gorgeous new moissanite jewelry from the talented Frances Gadbois and trendy fashion jewelry styles, this catalog offered something for everyone!

7. Tori Getting Married!

It’s no secret that one of our favorite moissanite fans is Youtube personality Tori Okoye. When Tori got engaged, she chose a lovely heart-cut moissanite ring. To choose her wedding ring, she traveled all the way to Moissanite HQ in Morrisville, NC. Her final selection? A dream pavé-set moissanite band.

6. Fire & Brilliance Visit Moissy HQ

The talented team behind Fire & Brilliance, including co-owners Michael & Linda Nguyen and social media manager Cid Nguyen, visited us here in North Carolina this past August. While here, they were given the chance of a lifetime – to be among the very first people to view the game-changing, colorless Forever One™ grade of moissanite!

5. Madelynn & Stephanie Come to Visit

Madelynn Cassin, the designer behind One Garnet Girl, and Stephanie Maslow, creator of Metalicious, visited Moissy HQ in October. These two lovely ladies had a wonderful time, and were given the chance to tour the moissanite vault and production area. Both were able to purchase some beautiful (and rare) stones that will eventually be set into custom designs. We can’t wait to see what they come up with for 2016!

4. Green with Envy

Natural colored moissanite has always existed, but in extremely rare quantities. This is, until this year when Moissanite.com introduced the Natural Green Collection, featuring stones cut from a boule specifically grown to produce deep green stones. Unlike color-coated stones or “enhanced” stones, these stones will hold their hue even through intense heat. They’ll never lose that gorgeous color!

3. Moissy Mavens Event

This past April, we hosted designers Heidi Gibson, Kristin Coffin, and Konstanze of Nodeform, as well as wedding bloggers from Glamour & Grace, Something Turquoise, A Fabulous Fete, and Aisle Perfect, at our NC headquarters.  They were all given the fabulous magical moissanite tour of the vault, and the three designers received rare gray moissanite stones that they eventually set into beautiful custom rings.

2. Moissanite & Manis at Paintbox Nails

New York City’s hottest nail studio, Paintbox, was home to Charles & Colvard’s Forever One™ launch event. More than twenty editors from some of the most well-known bridal, fashion, and accessories publications in the United States were in attendance, and they got the chance to model their manicures with the perfect accessory – moissanite jewelry!

1. Forever One™ is Here!

The launch of Forever One™ Moissanite was our favorite Moissy Moment of the year. This past September, Charles & Colvard® launched this game-changing grade of colorless moissanite, and created an excited uproar within the moissanite community. Colorless moissanite was long considered impossible, but now it’s here! We can’t wait to see the new jewelry designs featuring Forever One™ that will appear in 2016.
